    Default Cars & Coffee -- Saturday Feb 6 -- 8:00am-Noon, Plano, TX

I didn't know it was postponed til I just looked today, so I'm glad I didn't make a topic about the event being today. It's so cold today that I had no intention of going either way. Anyway... here's the official word...
    Hey All!

We know that the weather is calling for 'not so awesome-car-friendly weather', so we're postponing the CARS & COFFEE DALLAS EVENT to Saturday, Feb 6. Sorry for the inconvenience but to most of you, this works as a 'convenience'.

Since this is a word-of-mouth organization, please spread the word to your fellow car fans and let them know. Twitter and Facebook work great, too!

We can't wait to see you all on the 6th!
Check previous topics if you need the address or other details.

The 6th appears to be OK, in the 60s. I am getting tired of this chilly, wet winter.

The panhandle would never have an event like this. If they did, it'd be Coats & Coffee, and they'd somehow sneak shooting some animals into it.

    lol

The lot was getting full when I got there around 9:15 but started thinning out quickly due to the chill.

Something I though was funny. The Skyline left in front of me and did a little fishtailing and then backed off. Then I made a made some noise in first and second and then chilled out. Here comes this Lexus by me that apparently was just driving down the Parkway and decided to join in. Nailed by Plano PD!

I noticed there was an unmarked powder blue ford/mercury/lincoln sedan of some sort looking suspicious parked on the side of the road to the left of the exit, and there was some sort of white SUV with lights on the roof. Fortunately the Corvettes I was between and I all left slowly.

Today was a decent show. I liked seeing '94 Firebird Firehawk #003 and the metallic red Aston Martin DBS.

I gave three Texas F-body cards out at today's show. One to David who brought the Firehawk (it's for sale here http://inventory.racperformance.com/...k-Dallas-Texas) who has a 280Z with an LS1 and 1st gen Camaro with a 540 cubic inch engine who was very interested in the club, and two guys, one with a 30th Anni Z28 and the other with an '02 red Z28. There was a really nice ~02 red SS there with Fikse wheels, blacked out Berger panel, and some other nice additions. I ended up finding him by accident today when I was browsing Flickr, so I invited him to check out the site. Car looked really good:

Hopefully the additional business card things come in the mail soon. My mom (Pam), sister (Desiree), and I all purchased Texas F-body memberships this year and haven't received the stuff yet, and I'll go through my remaining cards pretty quick I'm sure!

    Thanks,
I really spent some time checking the boards and waiting for the right time to purchase the wheels. I got them a few months before Fikse went out of business.

If I understand correctly, I believe Fikse is back in business but under different ownership, so you might have a chance to eventually purchase a set. Not exactly sure if they will be the same quality, but from what I understood, I don't think they will be much different if any.

I actually have a buddy selling his Fikse Aro's. They are 18's. If you or anyone else is interested PM me and I can get back to you with more info and a direct link to his ad.
